Education Minister Aseri Radrodro wishes all Year 8 students the best as they begin the Fiji Year 8 Examination today.
A total of 19,141 students will sit the examination at 718 centres nationwide from today until Thursday.
Radrodro says students should remain calm, confident and trust in the preparation they have put in.
He says the examination will test their knowledge and skills and reflect their hard work, commitment and perseverance.
The Minister is reminding students that the examination is only one part of their educational journey and should not define their future.
He is also calling on parents, guardians and teachers to provide students with the support and reassurance they need throughout the examination period.
Radrodro has thanked teachers, heads of schools, support staff, parents and guardians for their dedication in preparing students for the examinations.
The Minister urged the students to stay focused, believe in themselves and give it their best.
