A HEAVY RAIN ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR YASAWA, EASTERN HALF OF VITI
LEVU [SERUA-NAMOSI, NAVUA-SUVA-NAUSORI, TAILEVU-NAITASIRI-RA], THE
NORTHERN DIVISION, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUPS, KADAVU AND NEARBY
SMALLER ISLANDS.

Situation: A trough of low pressure lies over the eastern parts of
the group. It is expected to gradually strengthen tomorrow.
Associated cloud, showers and rain are expected to affect parts of
the group until Monday.

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
Today:
Occasional showers and isolated thunderstorms over Serua-Namosi,
Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove,
Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Kadavu and nearby smaller
islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
Isolated heavy falls likely.
Fine apart from afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms
elsewhere.

Tomorrow:
Occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over Yasawa,
eastern half of Viti Levu [Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori,
Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra], the Northern Division, Lau and Lomaiviti
group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
Localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low-lying and
flood-prone areas.
Partly cloudy with afternoon or evening showers and thunderstorms
with heavy falls elsewhere.

Moderate to fresh southeast winds. Winds becoming east to southeast
from tomorrow.
Moderate to rough seas.
