A FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE WHOLE OF FIJI.

A STRONG WIND ALERT REMAINS IN FORCE FOR THE LAND AREAS OF YASAWA, MAMANUCA, TAVEUNI AND NEARBY SMALLER ISLANDS, LAU AND LOMAIVITI GROUPS.

Situation: An active trough of low pressure with associated cloud and rain affects the group.

Forecast to midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Occasional to periods of rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over most places.
Persistent heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying areas.
Moderate to fresh easterly winds. Winds becoming northerly to easterly from later today.
Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Wednesday : Expect northerly winds with wind speeds up to 45km/hr and gusts up to 55km/hr over the land areas of Yasawa,
Mamanuca, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.
Moderate to fresh northerly winds, gusty at times elsewhere.
Rough seas.
