The decision to remove the COVID-19 vaccination and travel restrictions has been well received by the people, says Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Viliame Gavoka.

He says this decision was made following careful consideration of the global and national COVID-19 situation by the COVID-19 Risk Mitigation Taskforce.

Gavoka says this will make visitors travelling easier and more convenient.

“All in all, as our systems go for tourism, the lifting of these restrictions has been welcomed by many people, and I am getting a lot of positive responses from the people who are reacting to the announcement yesterday.”
