The Highlanders edged out the capital side in a closely contested encounter, while Nadi were held to a 19-19 draw by Tailevu.
Malolo secured an important away win, defeating Kadavu 18-14, while Ba overcame Navosa 26-21 to maintain its push up the standings.
Lautoka made home advantage count with a 28-23 victory over Rewa, while Taveuni continued to impress, beating Nadroga 32-22.
