Agriculture Minister Tomasi Tunabuna has confirmed he wants to contest the next General Election under The People’s Alliance.
Tunabuna says he has applied for a party ticket, but the final decision on candidates rests with the party.
He says he wants another term to continue work on modernising Fiji’s agriculture sector.
Tunabuna says he has more plans to deliver if given the opportunity.
“Only if I am given the opportunity I will surely come back. There is a lot of plans to modernize the Agriculture sector so if I’m given the opportunity I will be more than happy to come back.”
Several other sitting People’s Alliance MPs have also applied for party tickets.
FBC News can also confirm that some Independent MPs have submitted expressions of interest to join Sitiveni Rabuka’s party.
