Police clarify on ammunition found

Police confirms that the ammunition find reported on 21 April has been linked to a military training.

Police say the blanks were confirmed by the Republic of Fiji Military Forces as ones used for a training exercise on the same day the report was received.

It has been confirmed that they were blanks and posed no threat to the safety of the public.

The ammunition has been handed back to the RFMF.
