Rosie O’Donnell had her response locked and loaded after the White House branded her a “total slob.”

Last week, O’Donnell concluded her stint as a guest host on Jimmy Kimmel Live with a few final digs at Donald Trump. In her Thursday monologue, the comedian repeatedly criticized the president and even sang a scathing song to her longtime nemesis, calling him by several insulting nicknames and calling for his resignation.

White House representative Davis Ingle fired back in a statement to Entertainment Weekly, writing, “Rosie O’Donnell is a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome.”

On Sunday, O’Donnell responded by sharing an unflattering photo of the president with his hair blown back and shirt tucked in at his torso.

“This is the guy calling me a slob #mirrormirror,” she wrote in the caption.

O’Donnell was one of many stars to take over hosting duties for Kimmel during the talk show host’s yearly summer break. Throughout her tenure, O’Donnell took special care to troll the president, giving him such insulting nicknames as “orange Voldemort” and “Mango Mussolini.”

From the very start, O’Donnell made it clear that she was prepared to take on Trump’s outrage. During her Monday monologue, she quipped, “If you thought the president hated Jimmy Kimmel Live when it was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, buckle up, people. Buckle up!”

In her final monologue, O’Donnell sang a song set to the tune of “Danny Boy,” taunting Trump with lyrics such as, “Drop that Big Mac that we all know you’re holding, because, my dear, I worry for you so / Poor Donny boy, your polls, your polls are falling. Your reflecting pool is green as Mountain Dew / Your wig’s a mess, your ballroom is appalling, and with Iran you bit off more than you can chew.”

O’Donnell and Trump have a longstanding feud, dating back to her tenure as a cohost on The View in the mid-2000s, long before he stepped into office. For years, the pair routinely fired vicious posts back and forth on the social media site formerly known as Twitter. The acrimony eventually reached new heights as Trump rose in the political sphere.

Because of the tension, O’Donnell relocated her family to Ireland after Trump’s second inauguration in 2025. Following her announcement, Trump threatened to revoke the comedian’s United States citizenship, calling her “a threat to humanity” and noting that she should remain in Ireland, “if they want her.”

O’Donnell has since returned to the U.S. to star in the one-woman show, Common Knowledge, in New York.
