The Government has officially declared Monday, October 12, a public holiday for Fiji Day.
The declaration was published in the Government Gazette today under sections 64 and 65 of the Employment Relations Act 2007, following approval by the Prime Minister.
Saturday, 10 October 2026, will be a normal Saturday and will not be treated as a public holiday.
Official Fiji Day celebrations will be held at Albert Park tomorrow.
