A 25-year-old woman has died following an alleged assault by her husband.

This alleged incident took place at their home in Kaleli settlement, Lautoka.

The incident reportedly took place yesterday morning. The woman was rushed to Lautoka Hospital by relatives but was sadly pronounced dead on arrival.

Police have confirmed that the husband was taken into custody shortly after the alleged incident. A full investigation is now underway.

Authorities are expected to release further details as the investigation progresses.
