Trade Minister Manoa Kamikamica
Trade Minister Manoa Kamikamica says doing business in Fiji is quite frustrating.
He says the coalition government is now focusing on improving the ease of doing business.
Kamikamica says to counter such issues, the government has formed the investment facilitation committee, which will help facilitate and enhance innovative and high-value investments in the country.
He adds that they have also been tasked with finding solutions for the pain points of doing business in Fiji.
“The committee oversees the issues that are arising from the investors that are coming into the country. For that, we have already identified where the pain points are within the economy. So there is a focus on trying to fix those pain points.”
Kamikamica says the committee has improved investment facilitation practices to support sustainable economic growth and development.
The minister says their core aim must remain working towards business reforms that are essential for all government agencies.
