A person of interest with alleged links to the illicit drug trade in Fiji is expected to appear in the Nadi Magistrates Court today.
The suspect, known as King Khan, was taken into custody over the weekend. He has been charged with one count of contravention of restraining orders.
It is alleged that the individual breached a High Court order by disposing of a vehicle that was subject to the initial restraining order, which also included a $400,000 property, cash currently held at a local bank, and four vehicles.
Police and the military conducted a raid at four of his properties in Makoi, Valelevu, and Davuilevu, searching for one of the four vehicles that had been unaccounted for.
The other vehicles seized under the High Court order have been in police custody and were not removed prior to the raid, as speculated in a social media post.
