Police probe alleged abuse of office

Officers from the Samabula Police Station are currently under investigation for alleged corruption and abuse of office.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed to FBC News that the investigation relates to the management of persons held in police custody.

She also clarified that the investigation is not connected to claims that five officers from the Samabula Police Station allegedly attempted to remove illicit drugs seized from Vatia in Tavua from the exhibit room.
