Ralagi overcomes personal loss to shine at Coca-Cola games

Mahatma Gandhi Memorial School’s silver medalist in the junior girls’ high jump, Tamara Ralagi, described her victory at the Coca-Cola Games as bittersweet following the recent passing of her mother just days ago.

An emotional Ralagi shared that her mother was not there to witness her compete in her first-ever Coca-Cola Games.

“This is my first time to participate at the Coca-Cola games and my mother is no longer here beside me.”

She admitted there were moments when she felt like giving up on her athletic journey, but her faith kept her going, as she continually turned to prayer for strength.

Ralagi expressed her gratitude to her coaches and teammates for their unwavering support and dedication in helping her prepare for the competition.

Despite her loss, Ralagi remains determined and strong as she looks ahead to upcoming competitions.
