Foreign national allegedly drowns in Mamanucas

A 23-year-old foreign national allegedly drowned while swimming in Mamanuca waters yesterday.

Police say the victim was with friends at a popular recreational facility when the incident occurred.

According to a police statement, staff of the facility attempted to revive the victim before rushing him to the Nadi Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Investigation continues.
