Man charged with alleged possession of firearm

A 24-year-old man has been arrested in Solovi, Nadi after allegedly being found in possession of a firearm.

According to police, the suspect, an air conditioning technician, was apprehended on Wednesday.

He has been charged with two counts of theft and remains in custody.

The man is scheduled to reappear before the Nadi Magistrates Court tomorrow.
