New Caledonia is one of the nations that has reverted to making going green and using renewable energy as a top priority along with having a secure food source.
Ballandras says this has started from commitment from the top.
“Success in New Caledonia derives from strong willingness from New Caledonian government. For nearly 10 years to really address the issue and start step by step in a very progressive process. Projects starting with small, then middle scale and right now larger scale projects. So, that’s all about political willingness.”
Ballandras was speaking to journalists from the Indo-Pacific currently on tour in Paris.
