The Fiji Commerce and Employers Federation, in collaboration with Business Link Pacific and Business Assistance Fiji, has unveiled BizPitchComp 2023.
The competition is to rally the private sector’s backing for co-financing innovative business solutions.
President of FCEF, Vinay Narsey, says this initiative is geared towards fostering the concept of blended financing for Micro, Small, and Medium enterprises in Fiji.
“We hope that this initiative and partnership can be scaled up with future TOPEX’s with active private sector engagement and investment. With this, I’m happy to sign the partnership agreement with BLP and BAF to launch BizPitchComp 2023.”
The competition is open to all individuals whose business ideas align with the criteria set in three critical areas, including climate change, innovation, and inclusion.
The most promising proposals will advance to an elimination-style pitching competition.
The top six contenders will showcase their concepts to the delegation at the Top Executive Conference slated for November 24 at the Sofitel Resort and Spa.
Each category victor stands to receive a $7,000 grant and specialized assistance to transform their concept into a comprehensive operational business plan.
Prospective participants can submit their groundbreaking ideas between October 26 and November 6, 2023.
The TOPEX conference will be held from November 23rd to 25th at the Sofitel Fiji resort and spa.
