The Fiji Crop and Livestock Council met with the Minister for Agriculture and Waterways, Tomasi Tunabuna, yesterday to discuss key updates and areas of collaboration.
Minister Tunabuna notes the importance of the Council’s mandate and urges its members to define their roles and responsibilities clearly.
He says a proactive approach would strengthen partnerships, enhance effectiveness, and reduce duplication of efforts across the sector.
He reminded the Council that all decisions must ultimately serve the best interests of farmers, who remain at the heart of Fiji’s agricultural development.
The Minister also commended the Council’s ongoing work and reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the FCLC throughout the current financial year.
