Khan applies for bail pending appeal

Imran Khan, also known as King Khan, has applied for bail while awaiting the hearing of his appeal against his conviction and sentence for possession of illicit drugs.

The State has requested time to respond to the bail application.

The Suva High Court has instructed both counsels to file their written submissions by close of business on October 16.

The bail application pending appeal has been scheduled for October 23.
