Fiji to receive heavy machinery grant from Japan

Cabinet has endorsed a grant aid arrangement with the Government of Japan to boost the Ministry of Public Works’ capacity in road construction and maintenance.

The grant aims to strengthen the Ministry’s operational capacity through the acquisition of essential heavy machinery.

Under the arrangement, Japan will provide approximately $12.6 million for the procurement of heavy equipment to support road works across the country.
