Show evidence: Anthony told

August 8, 2012 7:41 pm

Information permanent secretary Sharon Smith-Johns is calling on Fiji Trades Union Congress leader Felix Anthony to produce his medical report to the Police so investigations can be conducted.

Smith-Johns says Anthony has not provided any evidence to the police since his original complaint on July 13, 2012.

She says it is easy for anyone to make such claims without proof to get their 15 minutes of fame.

She adds – this incident is seen as an attempt to derail the constitution consultations process.

Government has maintained there will be no further statement on the case until Anthony presents the necessary documents for investigations to proceed.

In an earlier statement – Smith-Johns had refuted claims in the international media that Anthony had reported the Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama to the Fiji Police.
