The National Fire Authority is concerned with the increase in the number of property fires.

The NFA attended four separate incidents this week in Sigatoka, Nausori and two in Labasa.

A five bedroom house was destroyed in a fire yesterday.

The incident happened in Sawarua Settlement in Koronivia Rd, Nausori.

It is believed the fire started from one of the bedrooms.

In two separate incidents in Labasa.

A one bedroom house was destroyed in a fire yesterday.

The incident happened at Golf Link Road, Siberia.

It is believed the fire started from the kitchen area.

No one was inside the house at that time.

The second incident happened in Mataniwai, Labasa yesterday morning where a one bedroom house was fully destroyed.

It is believed no one was at home when the fire started.

And in Sigatoka, the firefighters attended to an incident at the Friendly Investment Kiosk on Wednesday night.

The Kiosk was destroyed, however, the firefighters managed to stop the fire from spreading to the adjacent Sigatoka Market.

NFA is investigating all the four incidents to determine the causes of the fire.
