Medical teams with the help of police and military personnel are looking for individuals who came into contact with Fiji’s first confirmed case of COVID-19.

Head of Health Protection Dr Aalisha Sahu-Khan says this includes passengers and crew of 3 flights who happened to be on-board with the 27-year-old flight attendant.

Teams will also test individuals who may have come into contact with the patient outside of the aircraft.

Those points of contact will be quarantined.

Dr Sahu-Khan confirms the family of the individual have been isolated with necessary COVID-19 tests for all concerned.

Anyone who may have been on flights FJ871, FJ411 and FJ410 is urged to contact the authorities immediately.
