The Japan rugby team created history in the 2019 Rugby World Cup by forcing its way into the knockout stages for the first time.
The hosts stunned Scotland 28-21 in their final Pool D clash.
Japan qualified into the quarterfinals as pool winners since they won all their pool matches.
Japan will now face South Africa in the quarterfinal next Sunday at 10:15pm.
South Africa qualified from Pool B as runners-up while New Zealand topped the pool.
New Zealand will face the runners-up of Pool A, which is Ireland on Saturday at 10:15pm.
In other quarterfinal matches, Wales, who topped Fiji’s Pool, Pool D will face France, who went through as runners-up from Pool C on Sunday at 10:15pm.
The Pool C winners, England will face Australia, the Pool D runners-up in the first quarterfinal match on Saturday at 7:15pm.
