History was created this afternoon at Churchill Park in Lautoka after Navy Albatross defeated Saru Dragons 22-16 in the Vodafone Cup final, winning the title for the first time ever.
Saru took an early 6-4 lead at the break, but Navy proved to be the better side and emerged victorious after the final hooter.
Meanwhile, Army Bears thumped Namoli West Tigers 36-12 to take out the women’s title.
