Linderboom says Ba's history was deciding factor

March 5, 2015 4:34 am

Former Waitakere United striker Keegan Linderboom says he has chosen to play for Ba in the OFC Champions League football competition because of the history associated with the district.

Linderboom along with fellow New Zealand-based player James Hoyt signed for Ba today and will be arriving into the country in a fortnight.

The South African says he has played against Ba in the past and the Men in Black have an incredible history both locally and on the international scene.

He adds the decision was made easier when close friend Hoyt decided to sign as well.

Ba is pooled with New Caledonia’s Gaitcha, AS Pirae of Tahiti and Samoa’s Lupe Ole Soaga.

The OFC Champions League will be played in Suva and Ba from April 11-26.
