FNPF Chief Executive Jaoji Koroi

A net profit of $568 million was recorded by the Fiji National Provident Fund this financial year.

This was highlighted by FNPF Chief Executive Jaoji Koroi who says this is the biggest profit yet, compared to $181.2 million in 2009.

The net contribution from members soars to $305 million compared to $14.1 million in 2009.

Koroi also highlighted that members fund now settles at $6.1 billion.

He also rubbished claims that retirees will not be able to receive their retirement funds.

“There are rumors going around that members turning 55 can’t withdraw their money now, that’s far from the truth as you see how much we’ve made, we encouraged members to come and listen to us, have their questions clarify with us, rather than taking rumors from the rumor mills”

Meanwhile, the total membership also increased by 23 percent now sitting at 441,663. FNPF now has total assets amounting to $7.4 billion.
