ANZ removes EFTPOS spend limits

Fijians will be able to use other ATM cards on ANZ EFTPOS machines without any restrictions on the minimum amount by next month.

ANZ today announced it will remove minimum spend requirements on all its EFTPOS terminals from 3rd December to help Fiji transition to a cashless economy.

ANZ Fiji Country Head, Saud Minam says this will change the way people bank.

Minam says Fijian will be able to conduct transactions which are less than ten dollars on ANZ EFTPOS machines.

“Starting from 3rd December, at any EFTPOS ANZ machines if you have a card of ANZ but if you are a customer of WESTPAC, Bred bank or BSP using our machine local access card you will be able to charge less than ten dollars on our machines”

Minam says they want to promote a cashless economy and provide better, more affordable access to digital services to Fijians.

He adds as a market leader, ANZ Fiji will continue to drive digital transformation agenda.
