Plan endorsed to revive iTaukei language

Cabinet has endorsed the Fiji National Action Plan on International Decade of Indigenous Language.

The action plan is an attempt to revive, restore and preserve the iTaukei language.

An implementation plan will be developed to ensure the effective execution of the strategies and commitments outlined in the NAP.

An iTaukei Language Commission policy framework will also be developed.
