With the OFC Under-19 Women’s Championship just days away, Digicel Young Kulas captain Adi Litia Bakaniceva is encouraging her team to focus on their target.
The tournament officially starts tomorrow at Churchill Park in Lautoka with Group A fixtures while Fiji, drawn in Pool D will be in action on Thursday.
Bakaniceva who is one of the three players who has had exposure at this level, is reminding her teammates to constantly believe in themselves.
“We’ve been improving a lot lately and yeah, just never give up, just believe in yourself and anything is possible.”
The 19-year-old former Vunimono High School student says there’s a lot of young talented players in the team and she believes they have what it takes to win the tournament.
Bakaniceva along with Angeline Rekha and Narieta Leba were part of the national women’s team that competed in the OFC Women’s Nations Cup last year.
The Young Kulas faces New Zealand on Thursday at 4pm at the HFC Stadium in Suva.
