Bail denied in Doctor’s murder case

The Lautoka High Court has denied bail pending trial application made by the man who allegedly murdered Dr Isireli Biumaitotoya in September last year.

Peceli Rokoravolo is charged with one count of murder.

He applied for bail last week; however, the State objected, citing his multiple previous convictions.

Rokoravolo’s two-week trial starts on 29 June.

The matter has been adjourned to a later date to address the pre-trial issue.
