LTA joins Pinktober movement

The Land Transport Authority stands in solidarity with women who have battled and survived cancer and remembers those who have succumbed to the disease.

In a statement, the LTA says its nationwide branches have joined the Pinktober movement, organizing an awareness program with the Suva Cancer Survivors group.

The Authority says that early detection is the key message to staff, who have participated in free breast cancer screening and pap smear tests at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital.

According to the statement, staff members engaged in a talanoa session with Suva Cancer Survivors group members on their diagnosis, treatment, management journey and healthy living practices.

LTA Human Resources Team Leader Central Eastern Seraseini Colata commended the group for their efforts to raise awareness and take action against breast cancer.
