The construction and building industry plays a major role in shaping the look of Fiji.
This was highlighted by the Minister for Employment Parveen Kumar while officiating at the Fiji Building Designers Association Professional Upgrade Workshop this week.
He says the Fiji Building Designers Association is a major key player in Fiji’s Construction industry in displaying the look of the country’s built environment.
He adds this depends on their fingerprint and workmanship of each and every member of the Association.
The Minister also congratulated the association for passing the draft constitution at last year’s Special General Meeting –through this they received recognition and endorsement as a professional body in the industry by the Employment Ministry.
Kumar called on the association to ensure their service is transparent accountable adding it would be meaningless if members don’t adhere to the structure and systems in place now.
