The health ministry says the breeding patterns of mosquitoes is now changing due to climate change.
Chief Health Inspector, Dip Chand says the change in climate is closely linked to mosquito borne-diseases.
โThese outbreaks are complimented by the weather patterns, the change in climate change and other things have always been part and parcel of these climate related diseases and dengue is one of them including Chikungunya, Zika and others. The pattern of breeding have shifted."

Fijians are urged to take proactive measures and destroy all mosquito breeding places.
The public is also advised to properly dispose containers that can hold water and provide breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
