A passenger is believed to have died in an early morning accident in Korovuto Nadi.

It is also believed a family was heading towards Nadi when the driver lost control of the vehicle resulting in a collision with an electricity pole at around 5.30am.

One of the passengers died at the scene while others – including the driver have been taken to the Nadi Hospital.

Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro confirms an investigation is now underway.
