Pedestrian killed in Nadi crash

A 30-year-old man is the country’s latest road fatality victim.

He died following a motor vehicle accident along Queens Road in Martintar, Nadi, just after 1 a.m. yesterday.

Police say the man allegedly stepped onto the road suddenly before being struck by a vehicle driven by a 32-year-old man.

The victim was rushed to the Nadi Hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police investigations are continuing.
