D-day for final 12 to Scotland and London

April 24, 2012 7:00 pm

The final 12 for the Fiji rugby 7s team to Glasgow and London will be named today at the Digicel headquarters at Kadavu House in Suva.

Fiji Rugby Union national coaching director, Frank Boivert says it will be interesting to see what coach, Alivereti Dere, has planned.

“There are a couple of new inclusions who are very good additions in terms of leadership and being level headed and clearheaded. As far as restarts are concerned and I think there is a new strategy implemented by Etuate Waqa that they’ve taken off Samoa and hopefully we will see this in the next leg.”_

Fiji is pooled with Zimbabwe, Portugal and Argentina.

Meanwhile, the Australia and New Zealand 7s rugby teams will play an exhibition match on Sunday as a curtain raiser to the Waratahs-Crusaders Round 10 Super Rugby clash.

The match will allow both sides to put the finishing touches to their preparations before embarking on the final leg.

Fiji has so far only scheduled a match this afternoon against Army at the Bidesi grounds in Suva.
