Prior to this, there was only one mobile lab in the Western Division since 2021, which presented challenges in serving farmers from other divisions.
Rayalu underscores the depth of the relationship between Fiji and India, emphasizing India’s commitment to assisting developing nations in their pursuit of agricultural excellence.
These mobile soil testing facilities will enable a detailed analysis of soil composition, empowering informed decisions related to crop selection, nutrient management, and overall soil health improvement.
One of the newly acquired mobile labs will be stationed in the Northern Division, while the other facility will serve farmers in the Central and Eastern Divisions.
Rayalu further emphasizes that fully leveraging these mobile soil testing laboratories can lead to advancements in the agricultural sector, environmental protection, and sustainable nourishment for the population.
This marks a significant step forward in the quest for a sustainable and thriving agricultural sector in Fiji.
