Members of the Tourism Industry in Nadi today paid their last respects to the late Dixon Seeto.

Family members, friends, and colleagues were at the Nadi International Airport to receive his body from Australia this morning.

The Fiji Hotel and Tourism Association Chief Executive, Fantasha Lockington says since Seeto spent most of his time in Nadi, it was only appropriate they honored him and said their goodbyes this morning.

“In honoring Dixon Seeto we wanted to, first of all, receive him and remember him for the wonderful leader, mentor, and friend he was to everyone in the Tourism Industry. Dixon always had time for everyone whether you were the security guard at the gate or the person who served you coffee, he said hello to everybody.”

Seeto had been a long-serving member of the FHTA and was President for the last 16 years.

He is expected to be laid to rest in Suva on Monday.
