The Fiji Higher Education Commission is sharing its expertise with other regional bodies.

Recently the Commission spearheaded a workshop for the Solomon Islands Tertiary Education and Skills Authority, which indicates the power of regional relationships to achieve quality education.

“We are here to give the best advice that we could to SITESA and one thing that we encourage is that for SITESA not to copy Fiji, not to copy any other country but to pick the best practices and develop what is best for the Solomon Islands”.

Meanwhile, SITESA Chief Technical officer Barry Peddle thanked the Commission for its assistance.

“The Fiji High Education Commission of all regional jurisdiction in the pacific was taken on the leadership role. It was way in front of most of the other countries in terms of the development of its regulatory and quality assurance approaches for post-school education”.

The Commission highlighted that this is also an opportunity to support and learn from our Pacific neighbors in an effort to boost the higher education standards across the region.
