The international floating book fair, Doulos Hope, has officially opened to the public, offering an extensive collection of literature at affordable prices.

The vessel follows the legacy of its sister ship, MV Doulos, which first visited Fiji in 2008 and drew over 36,000 visitors.

Doulos Hope Director Trizenia September notes that the vessel arrives with a dedicated mission to inspire change and share hope within the community.

“At the heart of our goal is the belief that hope is not something distant; it is something we can choose to share every day mall and intentional ways.”

Minister of Justice Siromi Turaga says the mission opens opportunities and shapes minds.

“It is a mission of transformation. Through your floating book fairs, cultural exchange programs and community initiatives, you bring knowledge to those who seek it, support those who need it and hope to those who long for it.”

The vessel is open for tours throughout the week and will be at the Suva Port until April 26th.
