The Fiji Sports Commission is looking at creating more tournaments for Women’s Rugby League.

This has been revealed by Fiji Sports Commission Chair, Peter Mazey.

Mazey believes women’s rugby league have shown great performance the entire year.

He says a lot is in store for women’s Rugby League.

“Not just tournaments, we will be working to have a number of teams from the West and Central and I think we sort of need to get good tournaments going. We will most probably need 6 teams for each tournament. The Commission as part of government’s funding is passionate about ensuring all sports include women in their sports.”

Mazey says this will enable women to get more funding for their respective sports.
