The 64th Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha Convention is set to bring together competitors of all ages, with organisers confirming a packed sports programme featuring multiple divisions across football and netball.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Sanatan Dharam Pratinidhi Sabha President Dhirendra Nand highlighted the inclusiveness of the event, with competition structured to cater for everyone from youth to seasoned campaigners.
“We are having sports in a couple of variety of grades. We will have open grades, we will have masters grades, we will have veterans, and also we will have under-16 grades for our youth as well.”
He adds that a variety of sports are taking place in football, with open, masters, veterans and under-16 grades included, while netball also features multiple divisions where women will compete in the inaugural IDC netball competition for the Sanatan fraternity.
The convention opened with colour and tradition, as a float procession made its way through Navua Town, setting the tone for a weekend that blends culture, community, and competitive sport.
Nand added that the multi-grade format is designed to ensure wider participation, especially for younger athletes and veteran players still eager to compete on the big stage.
