Costin says he will be working alongside with the FRNL in identifying players and areas of improvement in local competition.

He says he will be parting his rugby league knowledge and experience to local players to help develop the sport to international standard in Fiji.

“The more we can develop and grow but as a team, I have spoken to the board of Fiji Rugby League and we’ve really spoken about working together. Bringing local ideas in with the overseas education to create something that’s unique for Fiji not just one boss, one rule but all working together as one strong team and creating something special.”

Costin says he has a lot of plans for Fiji which he will be following through during his three-year contract.

Costin has played for the Huddersfield Giants, Canberra Raiders, South Sydney Rabbitohs, the Bradford Bulls, and the United States national rugby league team.

He was recently a coach in Samoa before signing a contract with Fiji.
