Man remanded in alleged stabbing case

A thirty six-year-old Security officer who allegedly stabbed his wife with a kitchen knife on Wednesday has been remanded in custody.

Akeai Koroi who is charged with one count with intent to cause grievous harm, appeared at the Nasinu Magistrates Court today.

Prosecution objected to bail because the offence was serious.

The couple had a heated argument on Wednesday night, before the alleged stabbing.

The case has been transferred to the Suva High Court for the 10th of November.

The twenty-eight-year old woman is in a critical condition at the CWM Hospital.
