Majority voters fall between the age group of 21-40

637, 527 Fijians are expected to head to the polls on the 14th of next month.

This is 46,426 more than those registered in the last General Election.

The 2018 national register of voters released by the Fijian Elections office confirms more than 321,000 males and 316, 431 females are registered to vote.

There are 70,519 pre-poll voters while 559,038 will vote on Election Day.

The largest chunk of voters fall between the age group of 21-40 years with more men voting compared to women.

The Central Division has the majority of voters with 265,184 voters, followed by the west with 244,245.

94, 094 voters are registered in the North and 26,034 in the Eastern Division.

The other category is 7970 registered overseas voters.

The Final number for Election Day voters will be known on October 27th.

This is when the Elections Office finalizes all Postal Voting applications – including those from within Fiji.

The FEO says it has kept a clean and updated list of voters using thorough verification and adjudication processes.
