A heavy rain alert is in force for Eastern Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Lau, Lomaiviti and the Yasawa Group.

The onslaught of rain is being brought by Tropical Depression 02f which was located about 65km East-Northeast of Rotuma or 605km north of Nadi at three this morning.

It is anticipated to gradually move South-Westward. The associated cloud bands are expected to affect Fiji until tomorrow.

A strong wind warning is also in force for land areas of the Eastern half of Viti Levu, Vanua Levu, Lau, Lomaiviti, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.
