Australia has accepted PNG’s offer to deploy 100 troops to help conduct bushfire recovery work.

Australia’s High Commissioner to PNG, Bruce Davis, says an initial deployment of 100 troops will join the Australia Defence Force to assist with the bushfire response.

PNG’s Prime Minister James MARAPE has offered to send up to 1000 people to help.
