The body of an Indian student missing in a Victorian tourist town for four days has been found.

Poshik Sharma, 21, disappeared from the Duck Inn pub in Marysville after an argument with friends on Thursday.

Concerns were raised after Mr Sharma did not contact loved ones nor use his phone.

A body believed to be the missing Werribee man was found in Marysville about 11am today, police said in a statement.

Mr Sharma’s sister had joined the search to help find him and his family in India has been informed of the development.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
