Youth games won't be easy-President

The Team Fiji contingent to the Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa presented their Itatau to the President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau yesterday.

The 47 member team with officials visited the President before taking part in the event which starts this Saturday.

The president reminded the athletes of the tough task that lies ahead.

“The competition will be stiff. There will be no walkovers, no easy way out. You’ve got to perform at the best of your abilities to be successful.”

The team leaves for Samoa on Friday.

Fiji will be competing in sevens rugby, archery, swimming, tennis, weightlifting, athletics and squash.
